Colin Powell Accuses GOP Of Racism: They ‘Still Look Down On Minorities’ | Mediaite
Now I know Colin Powell was a great military leader and he feels burned by Bush over WMD's and the Iraq war. But this has become quite a spectacle when he always comes on TV and tries to distance himself and criticize the GOP. Why does he not just come out and say he is a democrat and he has seen the light especially since BHO became president... and is changing but this constant ignorant comments ( IMO ) is crazy.
Are there Racists in the GOP... YES are there racist in the DNC... YES!
Birthers with Obam = Truthers with Bush
Lazy with Obama = Stupid with Bush
And finally "shucking and jiving" = figure of speech

Since the Obama Administration is hacking and monitoring everything and everybody. IRS/FBI I did not vote for Obama , I did contribute to Romney and I do criticize the administration. AUDIT AWAY!

I agree with Rakk-
Just come out and say you've been enlightened and be done with it. You've become like a nagging old woman: Bush didn't agree with you! Time to put on your big boy pants and get over it.
The secret of successful managing is to keep the five guys who hate you away from the four guys who haven't made up their minds. -Casey Stengel
Rak, I think the answer is yes, they are racists about, but they are only racists we care about when our attention is directed to the conservative utterances by the media or by liberals.
Yes I know. It's not fair and it is hypocritical, but what can I say? Life isn't fair.
If a man were behind four months on his mortgage and was talking to you about his plans to build an addition on his home you would think him daft and delusional. But in Washington, ignoring a current crisis to discuss grand dreams is called “boldness” and “vision.”
This is complete crap.
The GOP isn't racist.
The GOP doesn't hate black people.
The GOP hates conservatives, real, actual conservatives.
That's who they hate, not black people. Come on folks!

listening to the radio and a guy made a comment that made sense
Obama get's criticized by DEMS and the liberal elite media for not being diverse enough
Colin Powell goes on Obama's flag ship station NBC and says the right is racist....
Narrative changed... now we are talking about the right not the left Win Obama again
This has been what Obama Co and the main stream media has done for 4 years and it is why Obama is Teflon... when ever he is in trouble SPIN to the right and blame the R's and he get's off like usual
Sad.... Didnt see this with bush ....bush was the reason you got screwed at the drive thru .....

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add "within the limits of the law" because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.
-- Thomas Jefferson, letter to Isaac H Tiffany (1819)

No, the GOP isn't a racist party. There may be a scant few that are in it, but there are racists in the Dem party too. White racists. Racism is racism.
Now we have a lot of republican in my age group in the south that are closet racists. But they are not politicians.
"Like every other good thing in this world, leisure and culture have to be paid for. Fortunately, however, it is not the leisured and the cultured who have to pay." Aldous Huxley.
Well, your statement is based off of a false premise. You see, black people are a minority. What does this mean? This means that there are few blacks contending for positions so there will, statistically, be less black people represented in office. Now, let's also look at how many black people are part of the GOP.....what is that?...like a very small % of an already minority class? Then who among them decide to run for public office compared to other races. Add to that that you still actually have to win your race then what does that leave you?
In other words, you trotted out a really ignorant, simplistic, and just below what I'd expect of you.
P.S. Btw, Colin Powell is a racist. He voted for Obama because he's black.

Racist no, the Republican Party is not near organized and united enough these days to be racist as in institution. But they may have members with plenty of prejudice, which makes them match some Democrats as well as any other group.

"Every time something really bad happens, people cry out for safety, and the government answers by taking rights away from good people.” - Penn Jillette amazingly enough, and I agree.
Colin Powell was a highly respected military leader; hard to understand why he'd stoop to this level. Best guess, maybe he wants to run for president on the democratic ticket in 2016.
